Phase 1 — Training
Module 1
Covers Trauma Treatment Essentials, including defining and evaluating Trauma, Chronic Distress, Co-occurring Disorders, Measurable Outcomes, and Trauma Fitness.
Module 2
Trains on clinical application of Core-focused Treatment in resolving trauma in patients.
Module 3
Examines the intersectional factors of Holistic Health and Treatment, the critical aspects of relationships in trauma recovery, and specific case studies in women's health, substance abuse, and highly-sensitive-persons.
Module 4
Demonstrates measurable outcomes for Trauma Treatment, including practical applications of Core Processing.
Phase 2 — Qualification
After completing the training, mental health professionals will be required to submit the following documentation:
- Verification that the mental health professional has completed at least 24 clinical hours of specific trauma-care treatment
- A minimum of 8 hours of trauma care per client, documented, with a minimum of three clients
- A written SOAP note, or equivalent, for each session
- Documentation for a specified therapeutic alliance measure for each session
- Documentation for a specified outcome measure for each session
- After completing sessions for one client, document one 30-minute consultation with a representative of the National Board for Trauma Specialists
